COMMERCIAL-GRADE GROUNDWORKS

Drainage groundworks done to standard.

Constructionline Gold and CHAS accredited — the same standards we bring to a commercial site are the standards we bring to a residential extension.

What's involved

Groundworks, done properly.

Groundworks is where MSJ's commercial accreditations matter most. New drainage runs for an extension, a new manhole for a back-garden conversion, soakaway construction for a paved-over front, or larger commercial drainage projects — we do it to spec and we do it properly.

  • New drainage runs for extensions and new builds
  • Manhole installation and replacement
  • Soakaway design and construction (SuDS-compliant)
  • Pump station installation
  • Stormwater management
  • Pre-construction drainage surveys
  • Liaison with Building Control and water authorities

FAQs

Common questions about groundworks.

Do I need building regulations approval?+
For most new drainage runs, yes. We handle the Building Control submission as part of the job if you'd like us to — or we'll work with your architect or main contractor.
Can you work alongside another contractor?+
Yes. We regularly work alongside main contractors, landscapers, and extension builders. CHAS and Constructionline mean we slot into commercial sites without paperwork drama.
What's a typical timeline?+
Depends on the scope. A new soakaway is a day or two. A full drainage run for a side extension is 3–5 days. We'll give you a written programme as part of the quote.
